I’ve told pratz as soon as I could stop laughing at the time~~
See those little boys in the photos? They are my nephews: the red one was Jason (about 6-7), Sean in green and Axel in white (both are 5). Jason is Sean’s brother and Axel is their cousin.

So what are they doing in the photos?
They are playing gameboy!!!!
Ok, I know people probably think I’m making a big deal of it BUT they are little boys & already playing gameboy at this young age??
They seemed quite preoccupied but they were fighting to play the poor abused gameboy. Yes, they were abusing it! They’ve been playing since morning & when I took the pic it was about 1 PM and it’s batteries almost dead.
The day before, we were invited for a night at Horizon Hotel (Ancol) by my aunt’s family. My aunt is the trio’s grandma. When we were talking at Yu aunt’s room there were me, my mom & brother, Yu aunt, Ira jiejie (Jason & Sean’s mom) and Didit gege (Axel’s dad----Indonesian version: koko Didit & cici Ira but whatever~) plus my baby niece, Joselle (Jason’s little sister). All of a sudden…..ENG ING ENG!!!!!!! Those trio barged in VERY loud *I mean it!! VERY!!* and immediately Jason & Sean were begging Didit gege to buy them gameboys!
“A’uk….I want the same gameboy like Axel’s!”
“A’uk, I want one too! I want the red colour! Buy me one!”
See? Our younger generations are VERY corrupted, nah? And no magic words at all, they were just begging & begging…..but Jason, though the oldest, is the quick-temper-man here. When he found out he has to wait at least a week for the gameboy, he just pouted & snuggled to his grandma, mumbling about ‘I wanna play right now’.
Not that the older generations aren’t corrupted. One of the topics my aunt & her children talked about before the troublemaker trio came was about which console they should buy for them. They went through a list of xbox, PS3, Nintendo DS, gameboy…..they didn’t mention WII though.
That’s what happened when your family is VERY rich but I hope I won’t be that way when I have children. Anyway, Didit gege is a gamer since we were little….if I remember correctly, our sega was his too, he just gave it to us when he already bored (OMG….). No wonder his son is an expert at games.
That’s about my nephews. There was another funny thing. Fani, my cousin, was there before us. The first morning, she was having breakfast with my grandpa at the restaurant, when she encountered Skid Row members. The man was having trouble ordering omelets just because the egg corner’s chef doesn’t understand english (should we complain to the hotel, it is an international hotel!) so she helped him ordered. She didn’t even realize the man was famous & only noticed when she saw the man & his friends were eating on the next table with a lot of people came asking for photos.
English version:
“Grandpa…I helped that guy ordered omelets. I think he’s an artist”
“Really? Why don’t you take a picture with them?”
“What? No I won’t! It’s embarrassing…”
Indonesian version:
“Opa, bule yg di meja sebelah kayanya artis deh…tadi ‘Ani nolongin dia mesen omelet…”
“Masa sih? Fani foto dong ama mereka…”
“Hah, ga mau ah! Malu-maluin, kenal juga nggak…”
*Yes, people…..spupuku yg aneh bin ajaib (slalu aja dapet pengalaman ala Radith si kambing) berpikir bahwa the Skid Row cuma ordinary bule botak bertato* <<<<<<< (pliz dong….ktawa ngakak pas denger nih!!!!)
But people know good men will receive good treatments. The baldie Skid Row waved at her, said “Ok, thanks & bye!” when he went out. My cousin was almost laughing at the situation. Other people asked them for photos & autographs but she received an “Ok, thanks & bye!”
(“orang laen minta foto ama mereka tapi ‘Ani didadahin n pake ‘ok, thanks, bye!’ lagi!!”)
She probably didn’t care at first but I think she was quite proud at herself later for helping poor baldie in need XDD
When we were eating at Jimbaran, Balinese restaurant, later that night, we found out (or heard) another band had a performance not far from the restaurant. We were jokingly said Fani and I should accompany my grandpa at breakfast, just in case there’ll be another band member having trouble with omelets (kali aja ada bule mau omelet lagi gitu…)
Not a chance though, because we were in a hurry at breakfast. I forgot to mention because of those things above, we actually came there to pay respect to our late family members. My grandma, Yang grandpa and the others were cremated and the remnants were thrown to the sea at Ancol.
ONE last thing:
I almost got a heart attack while writing this journal.....because my laptop's battery suddenly went dead & when I plugged it to electricity....it hanged. Error. Whatever. I Haven't saved what I wrote yet at the time!!!!!! Glad I have the recovery data *svhvsdasry!!!!*
